The audience erupted when Reese Hogan posed for pictures on the first-place podium after the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Finals.
That’s because Hogan won the triple jump…not the male athlete from Jurupa Valley who defeated her by four feet.
FOUR. FEET.
The male also won in the long jump.
Hogan’s 37 feet, 2 inches is a personal record and a Crean Lutheran High School record.
But the male’s performance means he “qualifies for the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet held on May 24.”
When the boy got off the podium, she assumed her rightful spot as champion. The crowd erupts with applause.

CIF made Hogan and her friends remove “Protect Girls Sports” shirts last week:
