During an interview on the “Moby Pod” released on Friday, Hunter Biden claimed that Republicans are “trying to kill” him for investigating his business dealings and allegations of influence peddling. The president’s son, who was once again indicted on several tax-related charges earlier this week, compared the probe to a “Russian disinformation campaign” and blamed his indictment on former President Donald Trump.
“I recognize that none of this is necessarily about me. They are trying to, in their most illegitimate way, but rational way, they’re trying to destroy a presidency,” Biden said. “And so it’s not about me. In their most base way, what they’re trying to do is they’re trying to kill me, knowing that it will be a pain greater than my father could be able to handle. And so therefore, destroying a presidency in that way. And so I realized that, that it’s not about me.”
On Thursday, Special Counsel David Weiss unveiled a nine-count indictment that includes several tax-related charges. Hunter Biden is accused of failing to pay taxes for a number of years while instead spending money on prostitutes and hard drugs.
