Throughout the 2024 campaign, after Democrats booted President Joe Biden from the race and installed Kamala Harris, it was very clear that the enthusiasm and momentum surrounding her campaign was a fabricated media narrative and nothing more.
From the moment she entered the race — having received precisely zero primary votes — she was in a dead heat with Donald Trump in the polls. Polls that often heavily oversampled Democrats, by the way. In August 2024, Newsweek insisted Kamala’s poll numbers were only growing and the sky was the limit.
This was after an event in North Carolina that was light on attendees but heavy on media.
As the election neared, it became clear that Kamala Harris’ poll numbers were not good, no matter what media did to spin it. Internal polling was abysmal, and the blue wall was crumbling.
Then came election night and, well, we all know how that turned out.
