Former President Donald Trump made a new promise upon leaving the Manhattan courtroom on Friday where his civil fraud trial is being held. After looking at courtroom artists’ sketches of him, he said that he would have to “lose some weight.”
The former president briefly talked with a group of courtroom artists, examining their sketches depicting him observing testimony from the defense table at the $250 million civil fraud trial filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Addressing one artist, Jane Rosenberg, the real estate tycoon remarked, “Nice,” after inspecting her portrayal of him, ABC News reported.
Subsequently, Trump, 77, shifted his attention to the work of artist Isabelle Brourman, saying, “Wow, amazing.”
“Gotta lose some weight,” Brourman recalled him saying after he looked at her work.

Less than a week after a lower court upheld a gag order the state judge overseeing his case had placed on him, Trump appealed it to the New York Court of Appeals.
