Salzgitter said it has extended the contract of Chief Executive Officer Gunnar Groebler.
At Thursday’s supervisory board meeting, Groebler’s contract was extended until 2029.
“During his tenure to date, Gunnar Groebler has initiated and driven key decisions for the Salzgitter Group forward,” said Heinz-Gerhard Wente, supervisory board chairman in a statement.
Groebler has been in the role of chief executive since July 2021 and has worked on transforming the German industrial company, including on its low-carbon steelmaking production.
