A Nevada grand jury on Wednesday returned an indictment for six alternate electors who were tapped to object to the 2020 election if called upon by then-Vice President Mike Pence. Pence opted not to acknowledge the electors, though a number of leftist district attorneys have opted to bring charges anyway, just ahead of the 2024 election.
Charged alternate electors, who are routinely labeled as “fake electors” by regime friendly media outlets, include Nevada State Party GOP chair Michael McDonald and vice chair Jim DeGraffenreid. Also charged were Durward James Hindle III, Shawn Meehan and Eileen Rice.
Jesse Law, the chair of the Clark County Republican Party, also faces charges.
Charges include offering a false instrument for filing and uttering a forged instrument, which refer to a letter detailing the “certificate of the votes of the 2020 Electors from Nevada” to Vice President Pence ahead of the electoral certification in January 2021. Both charges are felonies under Nevada law.
Another Dem prosecutor weaponizing the law against Republicans—more “fake elector” indictments to legitimize Jack Smith’s election-related case against Donald Trump.
