Former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney’s new book has dropped, and already it is turning heads with fiery accusations.
According to reports last week, Cheney alleged that she had a heated clash with fellow GOP Rep. Jim Jordan as the Capitol Building riot was taking place and after she and other members of Congress were evacuated.
As protesters smashed windows and broke into the building, Cheney said the House sergeant-at-arms told members to prepare to hide under chairs if necessary, the Washington Examiner reported.
“Jim Jordan approached me,” Cheney wrote, according to a copy sent to CNN. “‘We need to get the ladies off the aisle,’ he said and put out his hand. ‘Let me help you.’”
“I swatted his hand away. ‘Get away from me. You f***ing did this,’” Cheney claimed she responded in her book, “Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning.”
Several other media outlets also received a copy of the book, the report said. It is scheduled to be published next week. A spokesman for Jordan denied the incident took place.
