An awkward moment unfolded on News Nation when network host Dan Abrams scolded Chris Cuomo for saying he was “open” to voting for former President Donald Trump in 2024.
The longtime Trump critic’s shocking comments came during his recent appearance on the Patrick Bet-David podcast.
“Would we survive another [term]… uh, yes,” Cuomo said in reference to President Trump. “I don’t think there’s any greater risk to America with him than with Biden. And for people who are now going to attack me and say, what are you talking about, Trump is like this crazy man. Well, look, as Patrick says, the data’s the data. Nobody was trying to kill us when Trump was president in a way that they are now. If anything, there’s more hostility.”
While speaking with Abrams on Thursday evening, Cuomo appeared to backtrack, stating that his comments were taken “wildly out of context.”
