The president-elect’s inauguration weekend will kick off with a fireworks display near his northern Virginia golf club and conclude with three inaugural balls.
The schedule for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration was released on Jan. 13.
On Jan. 18, a reception and fireworks will be held at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, followed by a reception for Cabinet nominees and a dinner hosted by Vice President-elect JD Vance.
The following day, Trump will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, where members of the military are buried.
He will then hold a rally at Capital One Arena, home of the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals.
To conclude the day, Trump will host a candlelight dinner.
On Jan. 20, Inauguration Day, Trump will start the day with a service at St. John’s Church. The church, which is located across from the White House, is where Trump held a Bible while standing in front the vandalized building during the 2020 riots following the death of George Floyd in police custody.
Trump will also have tea at the White House with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
