Ireland plans to issue 6 billion euros to 10 billion euros ($6.58 billion to $10.97 billion) in bonds in 2024, the National Treasury Management Agency said Thursday.
Next year’s funding plans envisage at least one syndicated bond deal, the NTMA said.
As was the case in 2023, the NTMA doesn’t currently expect to issue treasury bills in 2024, it said.
“We are entering 2024 from a position of strength and have a large degree of flexibility in meeting Ireland’s funding needs,” Dave McEvoy, NTMA director of funding and debt management, said in a statement. “We expect to have a relatively limited borrowing requirement next year as the fiscal outlook remains robust and the Exchequer continues to maintain healthy cash balances,” he said.
