THE “world’s most remote McDonald’s” is 770 miles from the nearest branch and has a unique and enticing menu.
While the popular chain is a restaurant that most of us take for granted this is not the case for the residents of Samoa.
The restaurant is the only one on the Island meaning some locals have yet to try its special menu – which features an incredible McAiga Meal for £38.
The nearest McDonald’s on the map to the paradise Island eatery is located in Fiji – a two hour flight away.
The restaurants are in such short supply that once Islanders get a taste for the fast food they just can’t get enough.
And, when the Samoan rugby team visited the UK for the world cup their McDonald’s cravings became so uncontrollable that they were banned from eating there.
One player said: “All I can see are the fast food restaurants across the road (but) coach barred us from there.”
Despite the remote restaurant being part of a much larger chain it has still put its own spin on the menu.
