Black Lives Matter Rhode Island chapter co-founder Mark Fisher has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. Fisher’s endorsement stems from his perception of the Democratic Party’s failures to adequately represent and support black communities. During a candid interview on Fox News, he expressed his disillusionment with the Democratic Party, citing “the duplicity of the Democrats [and] the hypocrisy” as key reasons for his shift in allegiance.
“A lot of people are misinformed,” Fisher said. “They don’t really understand because they don’t educate themselves on Donald Trump as a person and his history. But if they do that… it’ll be organic, because personally, I love the man.”
