“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Lisa Barlow isn’t sorry for wearing real fur.
“I’m always a fur girl,” she told Us Weekly at the Daily Front Row’s 11th Annual Fashion Media Awards on Friday. “I know it’s so controversial, but I love wearing fur.”
The reality star, 49, added that if people “really do [their] homework,” they would realize fur clothing is sustainable.
“It’s, like, major for you to wear that as opposed to faux fur,” she claimed.
There are pros and cons to both arguments. While anti-fur advocates argue there is nothing luxurious about skinning an animal for fashion, opponents have reasoned that creating faux fur, which contains synthetic materials, is not beneficial to the environment.
