THE chiefs of the CIA and MI6 have warned world order is under threat to levels “not seen since the Cold War”.
In a joint article, Bill Burns and Sir Richard Moore sounded the alarm over Mad Vlad’s invasion of Ukraine, a “reckless campaign of sabotage” Kremlin spies are waging across Europe, the rise of China and a renewed threat of ISIS terrorism.
The intelligence bosses, writing in the Financial Times, did not mince their words when addressing current global tensions.
They wrote: “There is no question that the international world order — the balanced system that has led to relative peace and stability and delivered rising living standards, opportunities and prosperity — is under threat in a way we haven’t seen since the Cold War.”
