Louisiana Republicans swept elections for three statewide offices Saturday following Attorney General Jeff Landry’s gubernatorial victory.
The Louisiana GOP secured victories in runoff races for attorney general, secretary of state, and treasurer.

The GOP also has a two-third supermajority in the House and Senate, the Associated Press noted.
“Democrats just got demolished in Louisiana. This was a trouncing. Republicans won all 3 statewide races by a 2-1 margin. Louisiana elected its 1st female AG & 1st woman elected as SOS. Republicans control every statewide office & supermajorities in the House/Senate,” Scott Presler commented.
