Rapper 50 Cent has avoided criminal charges after throwing a microphone and striking a concertgoer during a California show in August.
While the “In Da Club” hitmaker seemingly avoided the charges at this stage, the case will remain open until August 2024 and could face charges should any further incidents take place, TMZ reports.
As Page Six previously reported, the hip-hop artist — born Curtis James Jackson III — was handed several broken mics to use during his concert at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles when he couldn’t take the frustration anymore.
The rapper claimed he did not “intentionally strike” concertgoer Bryhana Monegain in the face when he angrily launched his microphone into the crowd.
Monegain — a radio host for Power 106 — filed a police report after the ordeal, and the “Candy Shop” rapper was named a criminal battery suspect.
The case was then presented as a felony to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, but was soon passed on to the LA City…
