First son Hunter Biden was among the hundred or so people special counsel Robert Hur interviewed over the course of his monthslong investigation into the president’s handling of classified documents, according to multiple reports.
Hur reached out to Hunter’s attorneys for an interview about two months ago, according to NBC News, though it is unclear when the interview actually took place.
The special counsel is expected to reveal the findings of his probe into President Biden’s retention of sensitive documents in a detailed report likely to be critical of the 80-year-old president and his staff and due out in the coming months, according to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported that Hunter was interviewed.
Hur has conducted about 100 interviews over the course of his 11-month-long investigation, including with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, White House aide Steve Ricchetti and former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, according to the outlet.
