The release of three pages allegedly from the Nashville shooter’s manifesto has caused a ripple effect across social media, and now at the local police department.
Conservative podcaster Steven Crowder obtained what he reported was a segment from Audrey Hale’s manifesto.
As pointed out by X Community Notes: “The Nashville Chief of Police, John Drake, confirmed that the pages are authentic in a statement: ‘I am greatly disturbed by today’s unauthorized release of three pages of writings from the Covenant shooter’.”
Audrey Hale would go on to murder three children and three adults at the Covenant School.
The Nashville mass shooting attracted controversy because Hale was a transgender-identifying individual. Hale also appeared to be motivated in part by Critical Race Theory; the shooter would go on to murder children referred to in the manifesto section as “crackers” who enjoyed “white privlages” [sic].
Authorities announced Wednesday that seven Nashville police officers have been placed on “administrative assignment” pending the outcome of an investigation into the unauthorized release of the shooter’s writings.
